Arthur B. Conde M.D.

Arthur B. Conde, MD of Fulshear, Texas went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the age of 88. He was born on July 26, 1932 to Francisco and Priscilla Conde in San Juan in the Philippines. As an only child, he was very studious and excelled as a classical pianist. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of the Philippines and completed his residency at Lincoln Hospital in New York City. He married Violeta Iballa in 1962. They were blessed with three children: Allan, Michelle, and Sofia. He practiced Internal Medicine in the southwest Houston area and lived in the country in Fulshear where he always enjoyed driving his Ford tractor, raising vegetables, planting oaks trees, and gardening. As a child, he always wanted to be a Texas farmer. He was a connoisseur of classical music, practiced daily on his Steinway, and studied opera. He appreciated different cultures and languages and studied Japanese, Italian, German, and Russian. He loved to entertain his friends by performing works of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and many others. Most importantly, he loved God and his family, especially his grandchildren, of whom he was immensely proud. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Priscilla Conde; Christopher Conde Martinez, eldest grandchild, who died at birth; and wife, Violeta, of 48 years, whom he missed dearly every day following her passing in 2010. He is survived by his children, Allan Conde, MD and wife, Kim; Michelle Conde Im and husband, Stephen Im; Sofia Conde Martinez and husband, David Martinez; and grandchildren: Renee Conde, Arthur Brock Conde, Anabelle Conde, Joshua Im, Cristian Im, William Martinez, and Daniel Martinez and many dear relatives and friends. Our family wishes to express appreciation of the outstanding, compassionate, and loving care provided by his primary care physician, Dr. Hugo M. Toro in Katy, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be officiated by Father Troy Gately at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Friday, March 5th at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Strake Jesuit College Preparatory and/or St Agnes Academy.
