Jackie Gene "Jack" Fannin

Jackie “Jack” Gene Fannin, age 61 of Fulshear, Texas, passed away July 25, 2013 at MD Anderson Hospital due to his ongoing battle with Leukemia. He was surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 31st at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston at 1pm. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 30th from 6 to 9pm at Dettling Funeral Home in Houston with a Vigil/Rosary being recited at 6:30 pm. He was a devoted husband and exceptional father. Jack worked at Gaumer Process in Houston, Texas as a Production Manager with 28 years of dedicated and loyal service. Jack considered his team as family, treating each team member with the utmost respect. Jack holds multiple US patents in partnership with Gaumer Process for Standoff Heater Housing 2008, Medium Voltage Heater Element 2008, and Method for Sealing Electrical Heating Elements 2009. Jack loved the outdoors and animals. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, horseback riding, team roping, raising cattle, working with his tractor, and gardening. His utmost pleasure was hosting weekend barbecues and get-togethers with family and friends in Fulshear, TX. Jack is reunited in Christ with his father, Andrew J. Fannin. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Judy Mouton Fannin of Fulshear, TX; children, Rick Fannin and wife Sherry of Catlettsburg, KY, Raenotta Fannin and husband Phillip Linzy of Catlettsburg, KY, Amy Thibodeaux Marsh and husband Gary of Katy, TX, Jennifer Fannin Adams and husband Jimmy of Webbville, KY, Taylor Thibodeaux of Houston, TX, Crystal Fannin Leal of Fulshear, TX; grandchildren, Jarred Spillman, Destiny Adams, Jessica Fannin, Adley Marsh, Ella Marsh Mackenzie Fannin, Emily Adams, Analicia Leal, , and John-Taylor Marsh; mother, Nannie Fannin Boggs of Catlettsburg, KY; Sister Edna Mae Fannin Keaton of Catlettsburg, KY, Brother Kenny Fannin of Rush, KY, Sister Carolyn Fannin Saddler of Catlettsburg, KY, Sister Becky Fannin Carter of Greenup, KY; and Aunt Eula Pearl Scarberry Allen of Houston, TX.
