Anita Miller
January 28, 2019
Anita Miller went to heaven on the evening of January 28,2019, after a long battle with cancer which evolved into pre-leukemia. She went peacefully and without pain, and she looked forward to being with God in Heaven. She told friends, family and strangers that she was 39 years old and holding. She and John were married in 1967, and they had two sweet daughters Julie Basham of Katy, and Michelle of Albuquerque NM. She had many interests and she loved gardening. Even after their home was destroyed by Harvey, she wanted a new home where she could have a garden. She was a fine, talented artist, and loved to travel. Above all she was a devout Christian. She conducted two weekly Bible studies in her home, and she read the Bible every day and read it completely every year. She volunteered freely of her time with several local charities. She was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church of Houston. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday February 1st at Hankamer Chapel at the main campus of Second Baptist Church on Voss Road at Woodway, Houston. A reception with the family will be held following the service. For those wishing to send flowers, Anita asked to have yellow roses at her funeral. If you would prefer to make a donation, send it to the charity of your choice. She was a sweet, beautiful person who was beloved by all, and had no enemies. She is terribly missed already by family and friends but we are comforted by knowing that she is in heaven.
