Bill Marek Waller

August 19, 1930 - February 26, 2016

William "Bill" Marek Waller born on August 19th, 1930 has passed away on February 26, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was 85 years old. Bill was born in Hillsboro, Texas to his mother Willie Cone Waller and father George Newton Waller. He spent most of his life working at the Texaco Company before moving to Houston. He is survived by his wife Maria Waller and his kids, Kelly, Chantal, Susan, Bill Jr, Kurt, and Stephen as well as grandchildren. Bill was a very compassionate and loving husband, father, and friend. You could find him outside most of the time shining his truck, working on the yard and always making improvements on the house. He loved adding details to everything. Music was also Bill's passion. He loved listening to Willie Nelson, Elvis, Marty Robbins, Freddy Fender, and anything that had a good beat to it. Bill loved meeting and befriending new people. He made friends at every grocery store he would go to and loved making everyone laugh with his jokes. Another passion of his was staying fit. Every morning he would wake up to do his daily exercises followed by making his nutritional milk shakes and taking all of his vitamins. Some of his other hobbies was watching football on Sundays and getting excited for an upcoming boxing match on TV. Bill was also a big foodie. Even though he could never remember the name Black-Eyed Pea, that’s where he loved to eat. The biggest passion of Bill's life was his family. He loved going out to do things with the family and loved taking everyone to whatever special events Houston had to offer. Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren and always bringing them gummy bears or gummy worms. He always had something special for them. He loved giving surprises. Bill was a great person and there will never be anyone like him. He will be truly forever missed. The funeral service will be held on March 4th at 7:00PM at Dettling Funeral Home located at 14094 Memorial Drive Houston, Texas 77079. We look forward to celebrating Bill's life with family and friends.
