Bonita B. Maglitto

December 28, 1948 - February 9, 2022

Bonita B. Maglitto ,73, of Houston passed away peacefully on February 9, 2022. Bonita was born December 28, 1948, in Houston, Texas to Sam and Bonita Liggio Brocco. Bonita grew up in Houston and graduated from Marian High School. She worked for the Diocese of Galveston- Houston until she decided to take a leap of faith and open her own business, An Enchanted Event Catering. She catered beautiful and elegant events all over Houston. Once she retired, Bonita had the opportunity to share her love of the culinary arts. She began teaching a cooking class at Our Lady of Walsingham for the Children of the Holy House program. Her class was a favorite and she was loved by her students. She spent the last several years taking care of her grandsons, Frankie and Thomas. A task that she enjoyed with all of her heart and soul. Bonita enjoyed spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family; she adored all of her grandchildren and relished every moment of time she spent with them. She was a member of the Amiketos club. She loved gathering with friends, and enjoyed cheering on her favorite Texas teams: the Astros and the Texans. Bonita was a spunky, beautiful, and loving woman with a kind heart. She was always willing to help others. She was truly beautiful inside and out. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam Brocco and Bonita Liggio Brocco; her husband, Luke S. Maglitto, and brother, James Ward. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Maglitto Brumme, and her husband, Herman (Skip) Brumme; her son, Steven Luke Maglitto and wife, Trang Nguyen Maglitto; her beloved grandsons, Samuel, Michael, and Phillip Brumme, Thomas, and Francis Maglitto; a loving and devoted companion, Curtis Doss, who she loved dearly; her brother, Greg Ward and cousin Jeannie Hoppens who she loved as a sister. Her warm smile will be missed by all of her friends and family. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday March 3rd, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham, 7809 Shadyvilla Ln. Houston, TX 77055. A reception will follow in St. Jude’s Hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation to The March of Dimes. This charity was very near and dear to her. https://p2p.onecause.com/marchofdimes/memorial/ in-memory-of-bonita-maglitto Fly High, Ga!🕊
