Delia Margarita Herrera-Brooks passed away on October 13, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was 74. She was the beloved wife of Guillermo Ernesto Brooks. Delia was born in Guantanamo City, Cuba and lived in Houston for the past 50 years. She was a parishioner of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and a member of the Abbey Westminster senior living community. She loved spending time with her family. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Isabel Herrera-Diego of Houston, TX, Mrs. Caridad Herrera-Campos of Miami, FL and Mrs. Maria Esperanza Herrera-Portocarrero of Seattle, WA, and her children, Guillermo Brooks (wife, Gina) and Patricia Mitchell (husband, Michael) of Houston, TX, and 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Peyton, Taylor, Carson and Ethan. A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc Drive, Houston TX 77024 with a reception at 2:00 p.m. at the Abbey Westminster, 2865 Westminster Plaza, Houston, TX 77082.
