Gertrude Agnes "Trudy" Riley Rundle

April 3, 1930 - April 20, 2022

Gertrude Agnes Riley Rundle, 92, passed away in Houston, Texas, Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Trudy was born April 3, 1930, in Vienna, Austria, to Karl Jerabek and Anna Marie Hermann Jerabek. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 23 years, John Rundle; children, Albert Sr. (Carrie) Riley, Linda Riley, Diane (Ron) Bouten , Kathy (Hilary) D’Costa, Michael (Tiffany) Rundle, Hilary Rundle; grandchildren, Thomas Riley, Albert Jr. (Katelyn) Riley, Ana Agee, Rene Agee, Ronny Bouten, Curtis (Laura) D’Costa, Kerrie D’Costa, Holly Rundle; great- grandchildren, Albert III, Mia, Daniel, Kenneth, Shelby; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Trudy grew up in Austria where she met her first spouse, an American GI, after World War II. The couple married and moved to California to begin their life. While in California, Trudy spent many years in the medical field as a nurse and assisting her spouse in the development of his medical practice. During this time, she also received her diploma in interior design. She moved to Houston in 1973 where she spent the rest of her life. Trudy was a faithful member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church where she was also a member of the choir for more than 20 years. She loved to travel, especially to the UK where she kept a flat in Windsor for many years. She was an avid reader and Anglophile. Her true love and devotion were to her family. Her children and grandchildren were truly the light of her life, and she was very active in their lives. She was loved by those who knew her and will be greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079.
