Jules Lance Le Blanc

February 20, 1940 - February 11, 2016

Jules Lance LeBlanc K.S.J. went to his Lord on February 11, 2016, at the age of 75. Sir Jules passed after a life long battle with heart disease. He was born in Houma, Louisiana on the 20th of February 1940 to Lloyd LeBlanc and Emma Carlos LeBlanc. Sir Jules is survived by this daughter Marcelle A. LeBlanc-Escalante of Mexico City, Mexico and his son Jacques Y. LeBlanc-Escalante, Esquire of San Antonio, Texas. Sir Jules spent his youth in Houma, graduating from St. Francis Boys High and graduating from Nicholls State University after his return from three year service to our country with Army Security Agency, later named Army Intelligence Service. He attained the rank of SP5, E-5 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal at his Honorable Discharge. Sir Jules was awarded the highest clearance by the Army and U. S. Government available, Final Top Secret-Cryptographic Access. Sir Jules served during the Cuban crisis, the Kennedy crisis, the Dominican Republic crisis and Vietnam War. Sir Jules was knighted in 1982, by Prince Andrew of Yugoslavia for charitable works perfumed. Sir Jules served the Knights of Jerusalem, the Knights formed in 14th Century, served as Hospitaliers for wounded knights returning from the crusades. Sir Jules was later to be appointed Knight in the association of Saint George the Martyr. Sir Jules later was chevalier in the order of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem. The order founded in 1435. Sir Jules later appointed Noble companion in the order of the Swan. Sir Jules held various management positions in the oil business until the “Great Bust” of 1984. In the following years he owned several companies as CEO. Progress Chemical sales, Progress Truck Line, Progressive Chemical Sales of Louisiana, Black Creek Drilling Co., all Texas oil service companies. Sir Jules has survived two open heart operations, brain operation, and heart problems associated with the above. He continued to serve proudly as a lector, usher and sacristan at St. Elizabeth Ann Senton Catholic Church, Houston, Texas. The Le Blanc family will be present to receive friends Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 PM at Dettling Funeral Home, 14094 Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77079. The Funeral Mass will commence Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 6646 Addicks Satsuma Rd., Houston, TX 77084. A reception will follow Holy Mass on the church grounds. Sir Jules will be laid to rest in VA Houston National Cemetery following the reception at 2:30 PM.
