Julie Anne (Crochet) Carlson, 74, of Spring, TX, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022, surrounded by family in Houston, TX. She was born to Eunice Broussard and Jean Crochet on September 23, 1947. She was married for forty years to Neill Carlson, who preceded her in death. Julie most enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, sitting on the beach, listening to the ocean, and reading romance novels. She enjoyed her work throughout the years in medical offices and her friendships with her co-workers, and she was always up for Mexican food and dessert of any kind. Julie is survived by her children Roger Carlson, of Wasilla, Alaska, Daphne Carlson and Andrew Bremer of Bethesda, MD, and Samantha Carlson and her husband Carlos Montalvo, of Houston, TX and her granddaughters Zenelle Carlson of Wasilla, Alaska and Zelamie Bremer of Bethesda, MD. She also leaves behind her siblings John Crochet of Groves, TX, Jackie Venghaus of Marble Falls, TX, Jennifer Rachel of Nederland, TX, Jeffrey Crochet of Nederland, TX, Jesse Crochet of Houston, TX, Jill Rambin of Nederland, TX, and Joseph Crochet of Orangefield, TX, as well as many cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jerome Crochet and James Crochet. A Vigil Service will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Dettling Funeral Home, 14094 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with a Christian Vigil at 7:00 pm. Julie will be laid to rest with her husband at Houston National Cemetery on June 24. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
