Mildred C. Sullivan 82, of Houston passed away February 9, 2021. Mildred was born March 2, 1938 in Barton, New York to Walter and Florence Coons. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Sullivan of 38 years of marriage, brother Cecil Coons of Barton, NY and her son Robert L. Sullivan of Easton, PA. She is survived by her daughters, Robin Lefever and Patricia Sullivan, her grandchildren, Glenn Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, Amanda Sullivan and Andrew Lefever, six great grandchildren and her niece Lynn Barnard and nephew Charles Coons. While growing up on her farm in upstate New York she enjoyed caring for the animals and watching the local wildlife. Her mother was an art and music teacher which helped to develop her love of the arts and music early in life. Mildred graduated from Spencer Central High School as the class valedictorian. After high school she joined the U.S. Navy and graduated photography school while serving her country. After her time in the Navy, she devoted time to raising her family and supporting the hobbies of her husband and children. She would spend many hours working on puzzles with her children over the years. Mildred enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden, raising pets and farm animals, painting, sewing, embroidering and crocheting. These hobbies were a perfect fit for her caring and artistic nature. She was also an avid reader who particularly enjoyed mystery novels. She particularly enjoyed attending performances at the local theatres with her youngest daughter. Mildred can best be described as intelligent, caring, strong, possessing a good sense, loving and fiesty. She had a love of life like no other and will be greatly missed.
