Nancy Evans Goodman, 66, of Houston passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. Nancy was born October 30, 1950 in Long Beach California to Oliver and Jane Evans. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles M. “Skip” Goodman III. Nancy is survived by her son, Charles M. “Chad” Goodman IV & wife Elizabeth and their children, Charles M. “Charlie” Goodman V and Emerson Grace Goodman; daughter, Farracy Goodman Richmond & husband Justin and their children, Jackson Christopher Richmond and Cooper Charles Richmond; brother, Robert Grayson Evans & wife Marilyn and her beloved cats Edison and Newton. Nancy grew up in the Dallas area and attended the University of Tennessee where she met and married the love of her life, Skip. Skip’s career in the oil and gas industry took the family to several states and countries, most notably Connecticut and Texas. Nancy volunteered often and was a docent at the Heritage Society and worked in the gift shop at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church where she was a longtime active member. She loved to garden and work outdoors at her home. Nancy was very crafty and enjoyed creating and completing projects in her gardens both in Connecticut and Houston. She was a witty, strong, generous woman who enjoyed traveling and taking road trips with her family. Of all her joys in life, her grandchildren were at the top of her list. She was loved by those who knew her and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Rd., Houston, TX 77056.
