Robert Allen Cholish

October 5, 1928 - January 15, 2021

Robert Allen Cholish of Katy, Texas passed away on Friday, January 15th, 2021 at the age of 92. Robert was the son of Edward and Esther (Purdo) Cholish. He attended Catholic Central High School, and graduated class of ‘46. He met Dorothy at Frank’s Candy Store at the age of 14 and married 9 years later on September 1, 1951. He graduated from The University of Detroit with his law degree and went on to become an Executive in Labor Relations for the Chrysler Corporation for 34 years. Robert and Dorothy relocated from Rochester, MI to Katy, TX in 2001. Robert and Dorothy were avid members of Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church of Katy, Texas for 20 years. Robert and Dorothy raised four daughters and six granddaughters. Robert’s greatest joy was loving his family and providing for them in every way possible. Robert’s sense of humor was appreciated by all who knew him. He loved to tease the ladies and pick on the men, all in a kind way. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife and dog, Ohso, taking care of his children, spoiling his grandchildren, and chatting with his neighbors throughout the community. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Karen Cholish. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jane, children Pam (Larry) Strader, Nancy (Frank) Boscarino, and Kathy Cholish (John) Steen; grandchildren Alexis Strader, Christen Strader, Theresa Boscarino, Mary Boscarino, Dorothy Steen, and Annabelle (James) Truelove.
