Robert grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma where he made many life-long friends. He graduated from The University of Oklahoma, and was an avid Sooner fan. He graduated with a B.A. in Psychology, and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He then attended Dental School at Baylor University, and was a member of the Xi Psi Phi Professional Dental Fraternity where he met the love of his life Suzy. After graduating from dental school with D.D.S. and M.S.D. degrees, they settled in Houston, TX where he started his pediatric dental practice and raised their 3 boys. Robert had many passions, most notably hunting, fishing, golf and Arabian horses. Each of these passions allowed him to spend quality time with his family and friends, which he greatly cherished. Robert also took great pride in his profession as a children’s dentist, where he was able to bring pretty smiles to thousands of patients while watching them grow up. He is survived by his wife Susan Freele; three sons Rob, Ryan and his wife Lauren, and Russell; grandson Maxwell; and brother Kevin Freele, his wife Michelle, and their children Ty, Blake, and Lauren. A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 9th of April, at Dettling Funeral Home, 14094 Memorial Drive in Houston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Robert Freele may be directed to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
