Stephanie Margret Jaeger Tamborello
March 16, 1945 - December 23, 2021
Stephanie died December 23, 2021, after a short illness. She was born on March 16, 1945, in New York City. She requested a very short, general and simple obit, but all that knew her would not consider her life average or simple. I could fill a whole page of the people she helped and things she did. She graduated from Maria Regina Diocesan High School in New York, studied history at Marymount College in Tarrytown, studied education at Fordham University, received a BA in history from the University of Houston, and received a Masters in Religious Education from the University of St. Thomas. She was the former Associate Dean of Students at the University of St. Thomas, former Director of Student Development of University Houston-Downtown, and retired as former Director of Student Services University of Texas Health Science Center. After retiring, she continued to educate herself throughout her life using this knowledge to help others especially those left behind or in need and that had no voice. It is totally impossible to list all the organizations or things she did to help people. She was fearless in standing up for others and trying new things. She is preceded in death by her father, Max Jaeger, and mother and step-father, Mary & Tony D’Ambrosio. She is survived by her loving daughter Kelly King and her husband Rick and two granddaughters, that she adored, Maryn and Megan, her sister Maxine Wirth, brother M. Carl Jaeger, and several nieces and nephews, and Paulette, her confidante and life long partner. We will all continue to love and miss her forever.
