Patsy Logan

Patsy Logan, 93, of Houston, Texas entered eternal rest on June 19, 2024. Patsy was born December 10, 1930, in San Antonio, Texas to Martha Ann and Warwick Clark Byrd. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and beloved husband, Jack. She is survived by her children: Pat (Janice) Logan, Tim (Jane) Logan, Katie (Anthony) Amore, and Kevin (Susan) Logan; Grandchildren: Angela (Nick) Wengrenovich, Sarah (Charlie) Logan Braziel, Jessica (Chase) Hopper, Vincent (Amanda) Amore, Katie Logan, Megan (Rodrigo) Ramos, Andrea (Trevor) Rowlett, Nick Logan and Eric Logan; Great Grandchildren Elizabeth, Walter, Mason, Charlotte, Jack, Henry, Elijah, Claire, Emilia, Owen, Lawrence, and Audrey. Patsy grew up in San Antonio and graduated from St. Mary’s High School (class of 1947). After a short while working for the phone company, she married Jack, the love of her life, and started her family, to whom she was devoted throughout her life. Patsy excelled as a “Stay at Home” Mom. She made the most out of little as Jack was beginning his work career and she became a wizard with meat and potatoes and leftovers. Patsy’s cooking skills grew with the family and peaked while living in Lafayette La. where she became proficient in Cajun Cuisine including gumbo. All of her children remember their favorite dishes which she graciously prepared for birthday celebrations and friends and family always looked forward to a tray of her cookies or pralines. She sometimes said she was a “mean” mommy. She ran a tight ship, but her children never doubted her love or that she was always there for them. She loved her husband foremost, her children, then her grandchildren and then her great grandchildren! A family gathering with all of these people brought her the most joy and excitement. Patsy enjoyed playing cards (especially bridge); games; gardening; and working puzzles. Patsy never knew a stranger. Within moments of meeting a new person, she somehow had found a common connection either with them or a friend or relative. Patsy’s family is grateful for the care she received from the staff of Magnolia Way and the loving caretakers from Pam’s Senior Helpers. In a short time, these loving ladies became family to her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail Houston, TX 77079 at 10:30 AM.
